All you have to do is throw around random date ideas that you have for the future.
---
-Dinner @ a seafood place (if my gal can't agree, some vegan place)
-Show her around a museum
-Read some books to her :D

Hmmmm

Going to the junkyard to look at cars and have my bf explain s**t about them to me. If we are there for something specific then we get to get dirty and get that part out.

Going out for buffalo chicken or shrimp somewhere lol

Stalking around the mall

Dollar movies for .50 on tuesdays sometimes.

Five dollar skate night on weds sometimes.

Getting a sweet tea and (for him) a caramel sunday after hanging out.

Running errands--I know it doesn't sound very glamorous, but I actually enjoyed doing stuff like that with my husband when we first met.

Drink one in the pub together.

Make sure you get wasted as f**k, but don't get creepy or sexual in any way.

Hiya. I love all those ideas. Now is Friday good or is Saturday better?

Anyway, I'd think it'd be neat to go hiking. I'd just hike like everyday. It's a cheap enough date, too. Most parks/trails are free.

I'd try and also show her around LA, in a car. :D

Pfft. Dinner at a seafood place. Go fishing. Much cheaper. Also you can make sure your gal can gut fish and descale them. A very useful skill indeed. Then you can bring a propane grill with you in the car and go grill your catch by the starlight. Ideas like this are why I'll be single forever.

Anyway, reading a book. I don't read like any books. And it'd be time consuming having someone else read me a book, because I'm like hyperlexic and can read faster than I can verbally comprehend someone talking. Also, I tend to read nonfiction books when I do read books. Hitherto, I would read a girl this book on a date:

We do "dress-up" dates-
next is Mad Men.
He's going to wear his snazziest suit,
and I'm going to try my best to look like Christina Hendricks.

Though not quite dating age, at 13, as an athlete I think it would be tons of fun to take a guy on a long run until he got tired enough for his mental processing speed to slow down a bit. Then...... haven't thought beyond there lol

I love retro! I was way into early 60s retro for about a year. I can give you some good tips about where to find things or how to make modern things look retro if you want.

If you cant find one of the Joan dresses, a pencil skirt, or any tight skirt, and a sweater will do. Revlon Red is the perfect color for the nails and lips. KISS brand glue on nails, "active oval" shape are good. And while pointy bras are hard to find usually, and expensive when you do find them, I found a nice padded pointy one at Wal Mart. They still sell that style here. I went from B cup to C cup in a flash!

Pointy toe pumps are a must, and if you want to be period specific, and not spend a ton on a garter belt and stockings, get thigh highs from Wal Mart. George makes a type that will stay up with elastic on it's own.

Thrift stores and yard sales are where I found most of my retro stuff. All of it is actually vintage, from the era. I even found a fake leopard car coat!

If you like retro, make a topic for it in womens discussion and I'll so post on it! I love me some retro! I have a friend who did his entire house in Mid Century Modern, which is kind of what we had around as little kids. Because it's not that much in style now, you can find vintage pieces, in great shape, really cheap.

You can also find lots of makeup totorials on YouTube for retro looks. Hair too. LisaFreemontStreet is a good one, although she does earlier stuff and also Rockabilly stuff. StrawberryKiwi does some as well. Lisa's is good for 40's looks though really. I learned how to do victory rolls and Rosie The Riviter from watching her.
