I know a tad in passing about body language in relationships, but I guess do they necessarily indicate anything, or CAN they, but not always? For instance, having an open stance or clsoed one, eye contact, or licking lips, are those always indicatoes, or no? Or are these within a greater context? Also, what are some consistent signs that you have notices, mostly with women in this case, but also in the case of men for the general discussion? Thoughts?

Context is important as there are no rules. It can vary culture to culture, town to town, person to person.

Arms crossed can mean:
- Anger
- Boredom
- Skepticism
- Tiredness
- Nothing at all
- Disagreement
- They need something to do with there arms

I wish you luck on deciphering NT actions.

Arms crossed is something that the most recent women in my life has in fact confirmed to me could mean anything.

She didn't argue that leaning away was a sign that could mean not interested, just not comfortable, stepping inside their personal space, etc.,

You might want to try and interpret other things as well. I have observed in some situations that some girls have a way of communicating interest. For example, I watched this one girl play with her hair while she was listening to the guy she was interested in talk. I could tell that was her preferred method of communicating interest. Another one indicating interest in me did this laugh and light punch on the shoulder. It varies from woman to woman

Eye contact, from what I have heard may be the best indicator of what a woman thinks of someone. She will likely have stronger feelings for the person her eyes light up for. Watch for dilating pupils. Of course, this may mean nothing in dark settings since pupils dilate much easier in the dark or dim light, so being in a setting where there is light may be more helpful for that.

If we are talking about signs of attraction from women, I may be able to offer more. Another list I'm afraid: hair playing, finding reasons to touch your arms, perhaps overacting laughing, mirroring your movements, smiling a lot (seeing teeth level of smile), staring but with occasional glancing down or not staring with occasional glancing towards, leaning/turning towards you, if close enough then leg rubbing.

What I meant by open stance, I meant legs. I think I read it in the Times.
