my dog is a babe magnet and I am not. I a not a fan of dog parks for various reasons. My dad suggested the college campus?

One co-worker leaves her Maltese with me when she is out of town. I like to take him out for a walk at about three am every morning, weather permitting.

She said that after he spends a week or two with me, he'll wake her up at 3 am or so wanting her to take him for a 3 am walk. She just ignores him and he gives up after a week or so.

Anywhere the dog digs that has high female ground coverage. I had border collies so had to run them behind a mountain bike then throw a Frisbee for hours.... the dog park was just resting for a border collie

If you want to form proper friendships the dog park is usually the spot. Around here they're is 3 dog parks full of young single female pooch walkers

Jersey must rock near the coast in summer. Just start hanging out, get a bike if your dog is young, you'll get the hang of it and meet some other goofheads, we are everywhere

But u could try the college campus. Lots of young students there, they will love it. And otherwise maybe the mall, a park on a good day. Lol.

Any busy street where you get to interact with lots of people(not just girls)

A dog wont be of any help if you are extremely awkward when a girl approaches you about it and the way to beat this is to interact with a lot of people talking about your dog until it seems like the most normal thing to do (tried to approach an old lady on the street about her joke as a dare between friends, conversation is far more awkward than you may think)

Dog park? I've not heard of this before. It is just for people to walk their dogs?

I guess so... I hope that means no children are allowed there (because otherwise there probably will be at least one parent claiming that your dog scared his child or something).

If you have to use a dog to form relationships, you have bigger problems to worry about.

all i see are negative comments from you..I have trouble meeting people as does 99 percent of this site..so please take your negativity elsewhere.

to evvryone else...dog parks would seem likv the obvious choice but I jjust get nervous a fight would happen there or my dog would get sick or get fleas. My dog is very tolerant of other dogs, but idon;t want another dog attacking him....especially if it is a big english mastiff. My dog is huggggggggggggggge but still.

Having a very big dog definitely gets you attention, or rather the dog attention. Woman down the duck pond has a Newfoundland, all the kids want to pat him

So normally I live to fly low and be a good taoist but a large status dog will have pluses and minuses...

Mobility and effortless and seamless interacts are hampered by notoriety. A lot of big easy dogs do get bit by large terriers, so being cautious is good of you. Its a numbers game and the odds are stacked not in your favour with lots of aggressive dogs wanting to get the big guy.

My dog never picked up anything from our local dog parks, and neither did his friends, but its a smart neighbourhood near the city with old houses and artists, not many dangerous dogs

Just leave and go to the next park if a certain dog arrives. But some groups are just all fluff balls flop mop lap yap dogs....

Choose your parks wisely and make provision to move elsewhere. Feed garlic and immune boosting herbs to your dog, I reckon he would prefer the company over a few fleas, as long as they are gentle

Exercising a big dog is more labour intensive as they have a big stride.... a little dog walks 3 times as far!

There are many cities where people can't let their dogs roam around off the leash. It's against the law because dogs will be dogs--get into trash, chase cars, maybe even bite people. A dog park is a place where people can let their dogs run around free for a while.

I think this is pretty much universally frowned upon.

Unless the dog is small enough to be carried in a woman's purse & the women is trendy or rich. I feel sorry for those dogs

If i were to go to a park i would go to an on leash dog park no way am i bringing my dog to a leashless park. we have a big back yard anyway
