Self-explanatory.
----
Mine will likely be @ Dodger Stadium, and will have a Japanese flair to it. No dances, no reception, just a nice little Shinto-style wedding. With kimonos. And hakamas. And my "Brotherhood of Awesomness" (my loyal male friends). My parents, being the obstructionists that they are as I've said in previous threads, will not be invited; it is so they can not obstruct anything. I will have the LAPD on watch to make sure they do NOT come.

The songs I will play are: The Band of Brothers theme, "Colors of the Wind" by Vanessa Williams and a few other ballads. BTW, it's supposed to be a somber occasion for me, my wedding......... because I want it that way.

It will, be for me, a farewell to my beloved Pacific Northwest, and a welcome to Hollywood. For my future wife, it will be saying to her "Welcome to the herd...."

Provided it could be as ridiculous as I would like...

The missus and I would be wed by none other than drunken Sargent Kabuki Man NYPD himself. He'd go on four hours and hours about whatever the **** he's talking about while all our friends and family are forced to watch Mrs. Boxy and I eat magic brownie cake and get high as balls. During all this, these songs could play:

Of course, after all that's done, everyone would be forced to dance to screamostep remixes of Justin Bieber's awful songs, and whoever wins would get to be spared in the coming cancer patient survivor apocalypse. While they're busy with that, since my wife would be the one to wear the pants, she'd either carry me or pull me along by a leash all the way to our ****** apartment out in some undisclosed location in space and proceed to make me her pet.

I think that pretty much covers everything. If I've forgotten any details please let me know.

What wedding? The way my life has turned out, I'll probably never get married. And frankly, I'm not sure I could handle it or would even want to bother.

That said, if I were to get married, I always liked the idea of just going to the Justice of the Peace and eloping. No guests, no fanfare, no elaborate spectacle.

Of course, I'm not sure a potential wife would be as excited about that.

I doubt I'll ever get married. If I did I would want a steampunk themed wedding. And I don't know if same sex marriage will be legal in Texas anytime soon so it'd probably be in Quebec, where I ultimately wish to live/work for a big portion of my life, if not the rest of my life.

His parents and best friend, my parents and grandfather.
Non-religious, childfree, and vegan.
He will be wearing his favorite suit, me, a dress with lace sleeves.
The ring will be my grandmother's.
The date will be in October, the decor and locale very autumnal.
We'll each read something special we've written for the other.
After, we'll travel for at least a week.

traditional weddings sound terrifying to me - loads of people watching and me being centre of attention.

i think it will be just me, my lucky partner and may be one good friend as a witness. Ceremony can go out via webcam to any interested parties. There will have to be a large cake - maybe a Lego themed one.

Same here. I think "terrifying" is a pretty accurate description of my feelings about it.

If I ever found someone who wanted to be with me then I would let them plan it. Weddings are for women anyways and so I would want her to have the wedding that would make her the happiest. If it was left to me, it would be a trip to a notary or justice of the peace-cheap and practical. Then again, I have the feeling that doing so would not make for a happy wife or a long lived marriage.

Depends on the woman-
a notary type situation is my ideal, but there are of course other people to consider. :(

I don't know and haven't thought about it. I have to finish school firstly. Plus, I think I'd be happy with a small wedding...I think the vows and the act of getting married are the most important. All I ask is a vegan cake so I can eat some too! :) I'm not into all the big, costly things..I like simple best. BUt I do want to look pretty as well, but I can still do that while being simple. BUt so far I am content with things.
