And after reading all the threads in this forum I keep thinking nearly every guy that messages me must be on the spectrum.

I have an Okcupid account too. It seems like if you're a female, the men will message you with things like, "Pics please." or, "Let me see your boobs.". And if you're a male you never get messages.

Have fun shuffling through your inbox to find a message that doesn't include "Hey sexy how r u?"

I only put a pic up tonight and I created my account on the weekend so I'm surprised I got any messages at all really. I really just wanted to browse which was why I joined. But it would be nice to meet someone too if that happened to come out of it. I haven't seen much potential on there yet.

Some guy wrote he was ''outgoing'' on his profile amongst a heap of other crap then messages me and says ''im not very good at talking but i'd like to get to know you'' or something like that. I assumed outgoing people were good at talking but I guess not always. Anyway I asked him how about interpretive dance but he didn't get it and that was the end of that.

I read profiles from local males from time to time; empty profiles or very poor profiles (a lot of them only have written the "What I'm looking for" section). Other profiles are just trolling because they are full of stupid nonsense, a mix between childish, dead easy and teasing humour and bad guy comments (and I'm talking about 32, 33 years old men). And all of them want only short term dating or casual sex. Profiles from other cities are waaay better.

I'm not sure what "short term dating" means, friends with benefits?

I'm quite baffled by the "short term dating" in OKcupid since almost everyone has it and not the "long term" option.
I mean I know dating might not last for eternity and all that, but I just get the feeling they don't want to have a serious relationship.
Maybe people just think the "short term" is the first phase of dating and if you pass that, they will get more serious.

That or just 'friends with benefits'

So many of the twenty-somethings at work aren't interested in (and don't believe in) love and/or monogamy... they just want to "play around".

To be honest I don't believe in love either, only in sexual attraction, which fades over time as you grow used to the person you're attracted to.

I actually find the concept of "love" to be biased and overrated by the media, it's more about the image than about the content.

Unless you are a good looking guy above average and male and have lots of money/social status. Females will not talk to you. Even the most unattractive females get more messages than most average guys.

I think it's time that all dating websites become free for women, but men have to pay. At least that way, everyone that signs up wins

you'd still have the self righteous b***h.es who do nothing but stroke their ego for free..and the guys getting roped out of cash. It's not that there are too few women on dating sites it's that the quality of women is horrendous. Has anyone used adultfrienfinder?

I actually payed for a website called KoreanCupid for one month~
Basically it worked like this; The normal users can send and receive messages to/from normal users, but can't read them until they pay up.
But if I become a paying customer, I would be able to send messages to any normal users and they would be able to read and respond back.
Obviously mostly men are paying it since girls will get messages from paying customers, just by sending a "wink".

I found it so easy to get girls around the world. If you can think of more than "How are you?" then yer good to go~
Funny story, I found a Philippines porn star there (yes she was real) and asked me to Skype cam with her while she was half drunk

Anyhoo~ I'd say KoreanCupid is one of the few that are worth the money if you play your cards right
