Tough one. I suppose it comes down to how much of a lady or ladette she is. I do like women who have short 'punkish' hair and it can't hurt for her to be feisty, and sitting around doing 'blokeish' stuff is a plus as having fun things to bond over certainly beats listening to her boring day. However, looking like a 'plain jane' or wearing sportswear all the time just isn't going to do it for me.

I'm going to go with cautiously ladette

I'm dating a Ladette. We played "strip Soulcalibur" last night.

I would date a lady who easily adapts to new situations ... if I wasn't already married to one.

I don't think I've ever heard the latter before this point. What does it mean/What's the difference? :s

Ladettes are tom boyish where as ladies are well, lady like I guess.

I am neither being an eclectic mix of all sorts.

In that case, if I had to choose, my tastes would probably sway more towards ladette. In reality, I'd prefer some who's probably closer to the middle.

ladette common interests are important, because beauty is ephemeral.

A lady, ladettes (or tomboys as they have been explained) are too common.

To me there's a difference between "tomboyish" and "butch".

If a woman want to attract men, she should avoid looking butch. That sends the wrong message even if some men think her attractive.

Yeah, never heard the term "ladette" before, is that a British thing? Lolz xP And yeah, definitely the latter, tomboys are my type, feminine women suck, except for maybe the older style of delicate and quiet feminine women that bear little resemblance to the bitchier type more prevalent today.

I'd prefer being able to date a woman who can clean/dress up well, but is not uncomfortable with getting dirty going skiing/hiking/camping/fishing/shooting (physical things that end with -ing).

This means that the "tom-boyish" girl is a better shot for me of finding someone with similar interests.

A ladette is not a tomboy.

A ladette is a drinking, smoking, crude chav type with no class who goes out on the town drinking and making an arse out of oneself.

Youtube ladette to lady for an idea.

No real preference, but maybe someone more in middle would be good.
