So, a little background information. I live in Baltimore, one of the most progressive places in the US. It's a Karl Marx love fest. The only thing I am lucky about is, I don't live in the city. When I was progressive, I had no issues attracting women. Most people in my area are very progressive. Granted, my social skills when I was a progressive were inept; however despite that I still had a few girlfriends and had sex plenty of times. The thing is now that I am libertarian, I attract women initially, yet when my political views are exposed they loose all interests. I am surrounded by "Feel the Bern" people. Due to my principles and integrity, I am unable to lie about my views in order to have a girlfriend. So, why would being gay help me? Well, men even who are gay are more likely to be either more libertarian, or just don't care thus getting rid of that issue. Plus not to mention, it's irritating to pursue women. I get solicited offers from gay men all the time. Too bad, I can't take some kind of pill.

What about lesbian women, do you think they have it harder than gay men?

I kind of related to you CommanderKeen. I could not attract women but I attracted gay guys very easily & I thought about being with a guy because it might would of been better than being alone. BTW I love Stephen Lynch. I have all his CDs on my comp.
