Advice on Seeing a Friend

Well, yesterday, I got frustrated. My parents don't want me staying the night a friend of mine on Facebook (won't name names) on the first visit; I explained to her about this, and said to me says she feels really hurt that I would change my plans the day before.
She said I made her cry, and I said, to clear things up.... "I'm sorry I made you cry.... I feel so stupid." (And that was the end of my communication with her yesterday.)

I did talk to her today, and she said "I wanted to see ya today" but she said "Not today"; I, however, am letting this boil over by not talking to her until tomorrow or Wednesday.

Guys, any words of encouragement on this? (My parents do have a point about NOT staying overnight on the first stay).

She hasn't talked to me since Monday.... eh, we'll see where things go from here.

How old are you?

Though I have anxiety so I’d be too anxious to stay over first meeting. I did once though. Drove up to another city two hours away and stayed with a girl and her roommates.
