Recently at University I joined a film society club that one of my good friends started. When I'm there I basically just watch a movie and then hang out with people the rest of the time. When I was there my friend who founded the club introduced me to one of her male friends who she had talked about before, but never met. I talked to him quite a bit after the movie, mostly just about school and nerdy stuff like video games. I talked with several other people that night as well. He seemed like a decent person, although it's difficult to tell by first meeting someone.
Fast forward two weeks, and I went to film night again. The same guy came a bit later and nonchalantly sat by me. I didn't really think much of it because finding seats is meaningless. During the movie, I fell asleep because I had pulled an all-nighter the day before. I just happen to wake up to an elbow in the ribs. He told me to wake up and smiled at me because I acted a bit startled. He apologized later after I told him that I had going off of caffeine and 30 hours of not sleeping. After the movie ended, I started talking to this guy and a few girls, but the girls just went off in their own conversation, so I ended up talking to this guy about random stuff for quite some time. He was also surprised that I had turned 18 only recently because he thought I was older. Her is 19 or 20. Later, I started talking with him and the two girls and he was talking about some movie marathon, when he put his head on my shoulder for a few seconds. The guy was pretty cute, but I found this mostly weird because I have met him twice. If one of my close guy friends had done this I wouldn't think anything of it.
Since I'm really bad at reading people, would anyone know why this guy was acting like this? I can't tell if he is interested in me or if he is just weird and acts like this around everyone. The situation wouldn't even be strange if I actually knew him well.
