First of all, howdy. Second, I've been trying the whole online dating thing because I'm having rare moments of confidence and then I have absolutely no idea what to say. It feels like I'm back in High School. The bitter side in me is worried that it's my looks that are the reason. Anyone have anything to say?

This is the one situation where the cost/benefit of being yourself is skewed in favor of totally-a-benefit. So be yourself because they don't know you and you are probably totally great. And some digital person not liking you at first blush is not hard to get over. But also be interested in what the other person has to say. It's not a monologue, it's a conversation.
