It doesn't sound to me as if he is as motivated as you sound to be, to make a relationship with you work.

This. Many of the things you describe sound like Aspie behavior traits. However, many of them also sound like the behavior traits of someone who isn't sure he's that interested in you. Not to discourage you or anything but that this all feels very familiar.
