I know that the last time I posted I said I didn't want to be involved with anyone, but let me explain fist before judging. :(

Ok, so I went on a blind date with my best friends' cousin (as a favor to her). I wasn't really looking forward to it, but I had a good time, and I'll admit I like the guy. :) We get along pretty well; except for a few differences, like I love reading and cartoons and he doesn't. I even told him about my aspergers and he didn't mind at all! :D
Unfortunately he has a steady job waiting for him in town and is wanting to settle down. :? I, on the other hand, am planning to move to another state, hopefully by next year, for a better education and to be closer to my family that I love dearly. Staying here is pretty much a dead end cause there are VERY few jobs (literally 2 in the entire town and one is a managerial position) . :|
I wouldn't mind going out with the guy, but I'm worried. I don't want it to turn into anything long term since I know I'm going to move.
I'm planning to ask him out for lunch, but I'm not sure what to do! :(

I would leave him alone. otherwise, it's much too likely that things will get complicated.

Good advice, but how do I let him down without sounding too rude and making my close friend mad in the process? :?

Why not let him decide?

If I had been dating a girl for a year and I really liked her, I might be open to moving to be with her.

A lot of things can change in a year. I don't think you should hide it from him, but I also don't think you should dump him.

Tell him the truth and ask him if he thinks it would be a problem.

Well, I met the guy for lunch today. I talked with him for a while and then we both found out that we are pretty much opposites on many things. :) At the end of the lunch I told him that I wasn't really looking to date anyone (the honest truth) and that if he wanted to hang out sometime (as friends) I'd be ok with that. He was pretty understanding. :D
My friend is probably gonna be mad at me for not going out with her cousin anymore :( , but I don't regret it. I'd rather her be mad at me for a little while than getting any more headaches brought on by the situation.

Your friend did what she could to introduce the two of you. She shouldn't be mad or upset moving forward about the fact it didn't work out... Noone made her cupid. She did you and him a favour by getting you two to hang out. I don't see any reason she would be upset, but would be happy to know that you have new friends to hang out with that you get along with as well.
