Last year at the autism walk I noticed a guy but never said anything to him. Since then, I have talked to his mum on Facebook and then she introduced us at the walk this year, and we shook hands and that was it. I had friends there, and he had friends there. That was mid-June.
Saturday my friend had a birthday party and he came with his mum and sister, and had his arm around me like all night. He's 20 and I didn't want him knowing I'm 27 but his mum told him, and she knew I was married before. He's never had a girlfriend or date or anything.
His mum brought him to our autism social group Tuesday, he lives an hour away so he's never come to our group before. So afterwards, my friend asked me to go for ice cream, well she sat with his mum, leaving me to sit with him. We ended up touching/holding hands and then his mum came over and asked if he liked me, wanted to be my boyfriend, etc. and then we stopped holding hands but we all sat in his mum's car, and she got us to exchange numbers and I can go to their cottage sometime in August.
She said I am more 'worldly' than him, his autism is more serious than mine. Today she set us up on FaceTime and he showed me their cottage.
I always scare everyone off and most guys want one night stands, etc. so while this guy doesn't want that obviously, I need to be slowwwww but I referred to him as my husband and he heard me and we were playing cards and it was his turn and I called him 'dear', and he said 'I'm not your husband yet don't call me dear, babe'
