Which is most likely?

I think I overheard this happen the other day and they both went quiet, then the girl who asked seemed cold to me after that which is worrying.

She was probably trying to set you up on a date with her friend.

You may of looked like you liked the girl being asked. Or the girl asking was trying to set you up with her friend. Or the girl asking likes you & wanted to gauge her friend's reaction before making a move. She's probably acting cold because of embarrassment because you were not supposed to hear that conversation.
