Cuddle buddies are more intimate than hug buddies, but not as intimate as sex buddies or traditional romantic partners. Friendship and business partners are non-intimate relationships. The best relationships have no labels.

for starters, how 'bout functional and dysfunctional? happy and unhappy? sexy and sexless?

I'm confused because the tittle says there are two types of relationships but the post mentions 6 relationships as well as a no label option Am I the only one who doesn't get this thread

I was trying to say that there are not just two types of relationships, but countless types of relationships. I was writing the title of this thread in Quasi-old English.

with us aspies, typically it is best if you use the most direct language possible.

... but you can learn more vocabulary words and English dialects if you set your mind to it.

Us Aspies already know that there's various types of realtionships so I still don't get the point of this post.

OP you gave it a shot. You were trying to make a statement about relationships. I too like to play around with language and words. I read the title over and over again and depending on where I stressed which word, it could either mean only two relationships, or not just two....it needs some work lol


I feel bad that you guys called what he had to say stupid and pointless..... although I guess it's reasonable that aspies might say things without understanding the impact of what they say. Messed up world we live in.

Not you auntblabby, you're a pretty solid dude in my opinion. You're a recognizable person on this site, and you always have good things to say.

I did NOT say it was pointless: I just said I didn't get the thread or understand the point. There may be a good point/purpose for this thread but I missed it.
