I feel like love and dating is like Glengary Glen Ross. You crunch the numbers (3% average for selling things), and you cold call a bunch of people. But meanwhile, some ass steals all the good leads. This relates well to dating. It seems three percent does not even cut it. Whatever you do, you are screwed.
