He has a point, too; many traits valued by a great deal of women are often far more common in other women than men, by default. Most guys today are raised to bury their feelings, and never back down from a fight for any reason. Lots of women are raised to believe that a man who truly loves them will magically know their deepest thoughts, no communication needed. Its an illusion on both sides, because real love is about commitment in the face of hardship, not avoiding pain entirely.

Nope, and to be honest I'm just fine with it. I wouldn't want to date a woman who couldn't stand an aspie, because I sure as hell can't be a cocky, macho douchebag, and even if I had the ability to act like one, I still wouldn't want to. It's just not who I am.

Aspergers men are definitely not every woman's dream.

Why?

Because a lot of them are really REALLY bad at communicating. When there is an argument they are much more prone to anxiety attacks and withdrawal. They are prone to 'falling silent' because of mind blindeness or because of feeling overwhelmed.
They also find it harder to take the initiative, and do things spontaneously. These are exactly the things most NT women love.

How the f**k are AS men every woman's dream. That's like saying Beyonce is every nazi's dream girl.

The analogy would suggest cognitive dissonance, which I don't think it is what you are going for.

I don't think any sane, grounded, intelligent women with a heart of gold and a moral compass that actually works would be remotely interested in any of the men who post on here. But it seems i am an exception where ever i may tread and this board is no different.

Thank you for adding "If they have confidence" on the poll. I'd love to date an Aspie guy but the ones I meet seem to have little or no self-confidence. When you're as ambitious as I am it's really hard to fight that contrast.
