If we were still together, I'd buy first class airline tickets to london the day she wanted. (yes, enough money to spare)

Reason: she is a fan of sherlock holmes and told me that one day she would meet his museum. In addition she is a fan of Doctor Who (if there were any themed ride, I certainly would she)

Only 1 million? that does not go vary far anymore.

I would pay off all my debts, buy some land with a home on it, buy a plane and go travel the world with my son, and perhaps somewhere along the line find me a nice wife to bring back home.

Invest it in an index fund (compound interest) and never reveal this to her until 20-30 years later when we're getting ready to retire and have a great bundle of cash to lie back on, thanks to the steady gains made my long term mutual fund investing.

If I had a partner and the million dollars we would spend it all on an amazing adventure, go places she has always dreamed if going and take her to special places I have heard of around the world. There are these lagoons with massive populations of bioluminescent micro organisms that's shimmer and glow as you swim through them, we would find all kinds of wonders and share the most romantic and fun experience we could wring out of a million dollars.

I'd buy her a wedding ring because we'd be able to get married without worrying about screwing up our government benefits that we have because of our various issues. I'd get us a better place to live too.
