Is this true about women?

One of my friends (who is a girl) said this about women the other night

"Women find one another more asthetically pleasing than men and find the male body not as attractive as the female body" and she continued "women look for personality, money, status and sense of humour in men to compensate for the lack of physical attraction" and "every women on this planet has an inbuilt physical attraction towards one another and men are much more attracted to us than we are to them.". Lastly she said "if us girls did not need men to make children we would happily trade in all the men in the world for a lifetime supply of chocolate and a planet ruled just by women.


Do you think my friends statement has some truth to it or not?

No, at least not unilaterally. Maybe some women feel that way - I know plenty who don't.

I find men much more attractive to look at, to talk to, and just to be around in general.

As a woman I hardly can tell you. Sadly, in opposition to the girl you spoke with, I was not invited to the great "All woman of earth meeting." when the four Billiards woman living on this earth, met each other, to discuss if we agree in finding woman or mans body more sexy.

My personal oppinion would be "both quiet similar, so I can enjoy a sexy male body as well as an female one, while sexy males have more chances on making me hot", but as mentioned: Unlike the girl you spoke with, I have not been declared as the official ambessedor of womanhood, and can only tell you my personal oppinion.

If you want to, I can talk at the next meeting with the other 3.999.999.999 women, upon what they agreed on.

May I ask you in return: Is it true that all men like football? A guy told me that he and all of his friends liked football, so according to this, is it true that all men on earth like football?

I think your friend may be a lesbian. Perhaps she is not aware of it yet, or is in denial.

None of that stuff is true about me, but I'm also more like a man than a woman. Is it true that all men think that women are weak and dumb?

The funny thing is, I've had guys say more or less the same thing to me about women - that women think women are more aesthetically pleasing to look at than men, that women don't need men except to reproduce, and that all women think penises are ugly.

Of course, I'm another one of those women who think more like a man than a woman, so I certainly can't speak for all women. My late fiance and I at one point came to the conclusion that he was a lesbian in a man's body, and I was a gay guy in a woman's body. YMMV.

When I go to bars often the men are starring down women like overexcited puppies whereas the women look more into each other and get sexually physical with other girls more than with boys.

You girls take us guys for 'meal tickets' nothing more.

Well, most of us can probably agree that on average, males generally have more sexual attraction towards females than the other way around.

Outside of that though, the rest of the statement is a bit of a generalization. Sure, there may be some people that some girls may be willing to make that trade for, but in the end every male on the earth is far overdoing it, especially when you consider that someone's husbands or sons would also be included in this trade.

Is it the same in the animal kingdom as well?

Re the bolded part: apparently men like that sort of thing, so the girls are doing it to attract male attention (there's even a question about that on OKCupid - I was astonished to find out how many men think that sort of behavior is 'hot').

Re the italicized part. To exactly the same extent that men take women for sex and nothing more. Be careful lest you fall into the trap of making sweeping generalities about the opposite sex, else your attitude alone will ensure that women are never attracted to you.

He attempted to frame his original post as an innocent question but it became clear right away that he is really using this thread to bash and stereotype women.
