Valentine's Day is coming up, and in a way, I'm excited because this will be my first one while I'm actually in a relationship after 18+ years of being single (I am 18, to clarify). I want to surprise my "girlfriend". The reason why girlfriend is in quotes is because we met online, and after a period of time apart, we got back together again, but it hasn't been that long since we "resumed". Can you really put a title on a relationship, even call it a relationship, when so little time has gone by? In some ways, I barely know her, but never the less, I want to do something special for her.

I'm a student at a community college and, even though I have been looking, do not have a job. I don't want to do something really expensive, like a dinner date, but I want her to show her that I care, even through the rocky winter we both have had.

What do you guys recommend? Keep in mind I have very little time to pull this off. Thanks!

You can do what I've made a tradition of for my closest friend & crush on Valentine's day. I use graphics editing software to create a custom valentine's card by modifying an image I get from google image search. I pick a theme and make these. I make it 4x6" and print a copy off at a local self serve photo printer to create a one of a kind glossy printed Valentine's day card, and then write on the back with a pen or sharpie. Obviously this requires a little bit of creativity & skill, as well as knowing a theme that would suit her.. but the actual hard costs of producing something like this are like 25 cents, yet it shows you care enough to make the effort for them. Super simple and inexpensive, yet.. a nice gesture that's sure to get a smile. :)
