Recently, a guy from an Asperger meetup I am in asked me out. I said okay but cancelled due to his age(he is 22 while I am 32). Then, my crush, another guy in the group, and I revealed our feelings via the like profile feature on okcupid. After that, the 22 year okd kept asking and insisting that I go out with him and that he did not care about the age difference. He would not listen to me, when I told him that at his age,a 10 year age gap is alot. So, I had to tell him that I was interested in someone else, who was interested in me(did not say any names)He got very upset and said he was sad and hurt.( he was upset and hurt when I cancelled the date). If I end up going out with the other guy, which I hope will happen, I worry that the 22 yo , upon finding out will have a tantrum as he hangs with that guy and we all go to the same meetup. What should I do if that happens?

Why did you say okay and then cancel? Did you not know his age when you said okay?

Tell the older guy? You know, being honest and truthful. :)

Ok. Thank you for the advice. I did not intend to hurt the 22 y o. I am not very experienced in being the one who does the rejecting and I did not want to lead him on or for hime to have false hopes.

No problem. :) I know you didn't mean to hurt his feelings and give him false hope but everyone has to go through some rain before they find their rainbow.
I don't think many here are experienced in rejecting others, in my opinion.
