I have been hearing things all across the board about how people on the autism spectrum view sex and relationships. The fact that the answers are so variable makes it hard to tell if there is any difference at all between those with Asperger's/autism and others on sexual attitudes.

I thought I'd ask the guys a few questions in poll format to see if I can spot any patterns. Maybe this should have gone in the men's forum, but since it has to do with dating I thought I'd put it here. Since the polls on here allow only one question per poll, I will start a few more threads with the other questions of my mini-survey.

I've been lonely too much and had too many of those 'one-sided friendships' someone brought up, so my answers will be biased. If the person I am dating holds my interest, I will definately try to keep the relationship gong in some way, even if only as friends. I value friends above all else, so it is ironic I can never keep them. People tell me maybe I try to hard, but I understand the limit there. But I am not the type for one night flings, or dating someone I wouldn't want to be with long-term.

I'm a virgin here. so I can't answer that question.

But I can tell you that if I were to have my relationship with a female friend be she girlfriend or just close friend become sexual, it woudn't change anything.

okay, that sounds stupid. but here's my reasoning.

If we're already friends or dating and she wants to take it a slight extra step in having a sexual relatinoship then we'd take it slow and to the point to where its comfortable for the both of us. You don't rush into something like this.

I don't care about that because I like to keep inter-personal relationships very simple.
