Do you want a woman who is highly emotional, the caretaker type? Or would you like a woman who is more rational and not very expressive emotionally?

Why can't someone be both? Is everyone either/or?

I would probably prefer a relatively rational woman, with emotional aspects.

If I were to pick between the two, I'd probaby pick "rational."

Fortunately, in the "real world," there's always a combination of both.

I like women who are both. Dana Scully is a great example of a woman I'd really like.

People are both. There isn't any such thing as a "wholly rational" person, all our decisions involve sensation and emotion.

It would depend on her personality.

I've known girls that were both very emotional and others very rational... how their personality played along with their emotional/rational was the key difference.

Rational. They'd be easier to manage the mistakes I'm prone to with.

Women who aren't emotional can be very dangerous.. As men can be as well. I encourage you to know the person you are in a relationship with. If the person doesn't like to show their emotions and is emotionally closed off than that is usually not a good sign. Stay away. Just my .02

Extremely emotional, irrational women are hardly less dangerous.

Emotionality shouldn't be equated to irrationality.

Yeah, I'm not sure this is a thing. Everyone is rational, and everyone is emotional. There may occasionally be extreme emphasis to either of these, or any number of other qualities, but that's a matter of degree and perception.

I like women (and men) who are emotional, outgoing, and caretakers. It is the opposite of how I am and makes it possible for us to have a relationship. If a woman isn't outgoing and expressive, our relationship will never get off the ground because I'm not going to make the first move. We're not going to have any conversations because I am really quiet. We won't have fun because I will never initiate any ideas for fun activities.

Precisely; I prefer a healthy balance between the two.

Definitely the emotional caretaker type. It's just what I'm attracted to, and get along best with.

It seems a lot of people here are for a healthy balance. I'm with them on that one as well.

Well that's a tough one since most women I have encountered are rather emotional I would like to have a woman that's a little in between!
