I thought this was a great article and it's nice that it includes some very specific examples of scenarios and dialogue that are beneficial for Aspies who need to have things spelled out for them very clearly.

a lot of folks spiritually don't have what it takes to maintain a good relationship with anybody else. they might need to get a few more lifetimes under their belt first before the :idea: lights up in their heads.

you are correct in that relationships need to be maintained just like any other thing that needs care and feeding.

Not too bad. I think the general things they describe apply to neurotypical and neurodiverse people alike. However, to be kind is not maintenance and work. It should be a natural response that is automated and thus doesn't require anything.

too many times, familiarity breeds contempt. successful relationships somehow seem to avoid this pitfall.
