I thought about this recently. Personally, I'd go with being rich and single. I wouldn't have to worry about having children to feed and take care of. Children aren't what I want. A high paying job where you can spend your money all on yourself sounds way better to me.

I wouldn't.

I've been in a relationship and broke and there's no way I'd go back, especially with how bad that relationship turned out to be.

A good relationship will make you feel rich, although rich and single will make life tolerably comfortable. No commitments means you really have to pursue activity, which is very easy to reluct on. I think I'd rather be poor and in a good one, a good partner will always make you feel rich and lucky.

Since being single does not equal celibacy, I'd go with rich and single. Money makes it so much easier to get laid.

With being rich and single comes some enormous financial responsibility as well as watching out for potential gold diggers. My understanding is that you need to invest the money in order to keep it and make more as well since leaving the money sitting around is useless.

I think I would rather be broke and in a relationship.

I'd survive.

Moderately well off and dating a fellow independent is about right.

Nobody wants to be broke.

I've no interest in being rich, but being truly broke would be tough. The impact on my life would be massive, in a bad way, so I'd have to say rich and single. Unless my partner and I lived in some sort of money-free commune or something.

Not sure what kids has to do with it though, I will never have kids but that doesn't stop me having relationships.

I'd rather be poor and in a relationship.

I am not rich now, but still I have just about everything I need and want. objects and money don't bring me happiness. if they do for others then I could see how they could be happy being rich and single.

Probably gonna buy another object come april. brings 2 weeks of happiness but meh.

A rich won't stay single for too long.

But if you're broke and MALE, your relationship won't last for too long.

think he means you would remain either option forever.

like would you rather lose your eyesight or hearing.

its an either or not "well I'll take option 3 lose none."

other wise I'd rather by super super rich and in a relationship and have a family.

^ but in real life nothing would prevent a rich to not have a relationship, if you are afraid of gold-diggers you can still marry a rich woman who wouldn't need your money.
