Hi, I am really struggling with this dating lark. I either very picky and find things that doesn't suit and also struggle talking to them unless I am really drunk and then can't really remember much about them! And another problem with this is they appear better looking when I am drunk...then I drop myself in it by saying I like them...then when I'm sober and either look at a pic of them or meet up for coffee my views change and then that awkward feeling comes on along with the anxiety!...not sure what to do as I do t want to stay single lol.

I think you'll find dating is a lot more than a picture and a profile, it's a lot more than making poor decisions while drunk as well..

Meaning? Explain more, I don't understand what your getting at? I have come out of a 16 year marriage and was with someone for 10 years prior to that so very naive and inexperienced with dating. Not so sure I can grasp the hang of it!

If you're going to insist on drinking (personally I don't), I'd suggest setting a limit. I think what 886 is getting at is that pictures and profiles tend to be superficial and are usually designed to show off the best of a person. Dating should help you get to know their personality. Also, everybody has flaws; it's part of being human.
