OkCupid Men Can Be Weird!

Women have to wait for men to reply, but if men have to wait, they cannot handle it & unmatch you. One of the guys I really like talking to,but it wouldn’t work out, when it’s very late here, it’s morning there. I’m thinking of taking a break from OkCupid, I have ALOT of stuff going on in my life, I can feel overwhelmed. I don’t think it right time to get a boyfriend.

A lot of things could have happened. It has no bearing on you, so take what you learned from him and use best practices next round.

Have you tried Bumble? I like it because women initiate the conversation.

Can be? A lot of them are weird. And I'm not talking about the good kind. They're "it puts lotion on its skin or it gets the hose again" weird.

I've had this experience too, but not recently. I deactivated my account a couple of weeks ago. It saves me a lot of sanity. hah.

A young friend once told me he 'unmatches' any woman who does not respond within 3 days. I think that's fair.

I think this is fair.

Honestly, one message per ~24 hours is fairly normal for the early just-getting-to-know-each-other phase.

If much more than a day lapsed between replies, it never panned out or went anywhere (in my experience, over about 4 years of online dating).
