hello all, I made this to clear up some things I may have wrote out of context. I will edit as I go along. as any who have read my previous posts, I feel I tend to come off as a bit sexist. I wish to make this perfectly clear. although my comments may sometimes seem sexist, I in no way mean for them to be. I have always posted through personal experience. and as with all things; ones personal experience can be entirely different from someone else. I wish to make this clear. the "girls" or "women" or "boys" or "men" I may or may not mention indicate from people I have met in my life. to me this is not sexist. terms can be defined based on amount of people believing said term is that. as a result... things such as BAE exist.

So what that paragraph is trying to say is simple. I only am speaking my opinion on this forum. if you do not agree, and can explain it in a respectable manner. I would love to hear your side; whomever you may be.

I first learned about BAE a couple of weeks ago!

When I was growing up, boys "went steady" with girls in high school.

What does bae mean? I looked it up and it says it's Danish for poop.

It's an acronym for "Before Anyone Else." I think part of the appeal is that it's gender-natural.

Your BAE has priority over everyone else in your life.

Well, that's kinda sweet. The Danish word ruins it. I was reading about it online and people were saying how much they hated the term.

So did someone say something about what you have said? Is that what this thread is about?

I haven't seen many of your posts so i don't have reference (nor did i know what bae is).
I do however appreciate this post. I think anyone who genuinely invites constructive criticism - particularly on 'hot topic' isms such as this - possesses a really good characteristic that many (myself included) never reach.

Some people also use "Bae" (eew) as short for Babe. I honestly hate it when people call each other babe. Especially when women are called "Sexy Babes". I guess I just associate it with wannabe macho teen dudes who do nothing but oggle at breasts all day.... :?

I wonder how teenagers can be allowed to have a "Before Anyone Else" by their parents. Mine made it very clear they were before anyone else. In fact, there was hardly anyone else in my life.
