Ideal in the physical, although also intellectual sense. Physically (http://imgur.com/lGLIx6i) he was both a twink and despite not intending it, hair-wise, looked like an emo, which are both my favourite traits. Despite his looks he was really clever, too... I doubt I could find someone else with all of those again. At least, traditionally, it's one or another... but whatever, can't find anyone at all...

It is best not to get hung up over superficial things

I don't think I could go out with a girl like that--especially one that smokes!

That guy looks a little like Sid Vicious.

Hah, girl... I can assure you he had an entirely male personality, despite his outward appearance. I loved him despite his irritability. Looks might be superficial but he had an intellect that I loved having a conversation with (until his depression overcame him and he became more silent). Originally, I had actually compared him to Christian Slater from The Name of the Rose, as I had recently seen it.

I think that person looks like a guy.

I was just thinking of an Emo-type girl.

Emo boys usually have that kind of hair too... girls' tend to be longer.

Believe it or not, I used to know Emo-type people when I went to high school (back in the 1970s). They were known as "punk" or "New Wave" types back then. Never got along with many of them. Some were okay, though.

He's a real cutie, and I'm glad you guys got along well. I was in a relationship for 13 years with a guy I got along with very well; our idiosyncrasies complemented one another. :D I've been single since (except for one year), and still look back fondly and gratefully on our time together. <Sigh. Cue melodramatic playback of "The Way We Were"> :D

You have to remember, there is always more than one "ideal" partner for you. You just have to look around.

There are indeed many other twinks with similar traits, probably... but so many factors are involved, primarily the need for them to be attracted to me (I still don't know how my ex was, but then again it fizzled out within seven months...) - it's annoying, though, when love is restricted so, but then so is nature (if only I had a fetish with the elderly, or even liked muscled men I'd probably have had more physical contact by now... but I don't).

In Soviet Wrong-Planet the Relationships find YOU !

Wait, was that the right response, what was this thread about again... 8O

Well, anyway, I get along fairly well with most people, just as long as I don't have to hang around them too much... I have encountered a lot of what you call « ideals » over the various centuries of my current earth-life but, from what I can tell, any kind of a « relationship » has apparently more to do with personal-growth or what others might call spiritual-growth than it seems to have with any other purpose (besides calling it karmic-influences).

I cannot deny having been superficial myself but « growing out » and up from that stage was probably just part of the learning process. Few people in this world seem to actually have their #@*% together though so I think that is one of the « life-lessons » that humans have to learn (that they can get their #@*% together if they stop over-complicating it with unecessary things & learn to be self-organised). For me ideally everybody would always be spotless & clean up after themselves & not create unnecessary work or problems where there originally wasn't any (and basically everything for an ideal-world where everybody & everything is highly advanced with zero conflicts amongst anybody).
