I'm a young man of 19 years and I'm currently single but I don't really let it get to me anymore than what's reasonable. I have had a couple of girlfriends when I was like 17/18, but they were both pretty crappy and toxic relationships for any guys to be in. I've learned my lesson that being in a bad or even mediocre relationship is not worth anybody's time and effort, and that online dating is definitely NOT the answer.
I'm a Methodist Christian and very enthusiastic about my spirituality, and love being affiliated with young-adult aimed ministries. I do my own thing with life and always be myself and have a great reputation, I'm super into indie films, just about any kind of music out there, and a casual fan of handheld games on the PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS, especially JRPGS and old classics like Mega Man games.
Anyway, here's the story. I have mild Asperger's and Bipolar and I just moved from SoCal to Portland, Oregon about a week ago, and I'm wondering how I should go about the whole romance thing out there. I mean, as much as I would love having someone to kiss, make out, cuddle, and have lovey dovey fun with right now I know that that kind of thing takes time to come by. I don't want to seem a desperate guy or a player, because I'm neither one of those 2 things. But for me to start meeting new young women out there, what would be the most healthy and effective approach? Right now, I'm thinking I should hit up 16+ and 18+ shows at the Roseland Theatre, chill out at the world-famous Powell's book store because I really like good books, hit up coffee shops, and try to find Christian ministries for young men my age. Do these sound like good ideas? Picture of me: https://instagram.com/p/115a1wEO0V/

Looks like you just answered your own question about what you should do with your spare time.

Since you are a faithful Christian, keep up with your faith. And it might not hurt to check out meetup.com to see if you can find fun and interesting things to do in your area, and maybe in your age group as well. Don't be afraid to go outside your age group either if you want to do that.

Hello young man, and welcome to Socal. We live in Oceanside! As a senior, looking back, my tip for you is to
simply live your life, staying healthy, learning, exploring, and romance/sex/love will surely come your way.
If you really want a partner, try joining some of the singles activities at your church, or, for example, Sierra
Club. That's a great place to meet others who love nature. At your age, school is the best place to meet
others. Even if you are not in college, take a class, any class somewhere. The gym is another spot to
meet people focused on health. There is no rush, please trust me. It's far better to let thing unfold
naturally and slowly than make poor life choices. Best, Alice

Based on my experiences when your age, the options you mention at the end of your post seem to be good ones. I was fortunate to find someone with compatible values and beliefs, leading to a long-term relationship.
