I was in Istanbul for work for 3 days in my company's branch in Turkey and I met my two Turkish coworkers in person for the first time, one of them is friendly and very extrovert whom had been talking to me a lot all the time, while the other isn't that friendly to me.
On Wednesday after work they took us (me, my local colleague and a Czech work partner) to different places, at midnight the second girl took us to a club bar along side the bosphorus - it is a small place, very crowded, dark, only lit by candles and red dim light, and playing music loudly...
Anyway, the theme music on that day was rap which I am not fan of, but I was really enjoying the beat, shaking lightly with the beat among others and enjoying my drink, like everyone else actually- It's not like I was crossing my arms and sitting still.
Then the Turkish girl (the first , friendly one) came to me and whispered loudly (since the music was too loud) into my ear "I DON'T THINK YOU LIKE THIS MUSIC" - I was like "don't worry, I am good " - and she repeated "Nooo I DON'T THINK YOU LIKE THIS MUSIC" Lol ...and I was like "Just enjoying the beat, but not much into rap in particular" - and her "YEAH I KNEW IT, YOU DON'T LIKE THAT MUSIC".
Wow...she could see this in me in middle of a crowdy, very loud and almost totally DARK place.

Scary, no?
You sure it isn't that you'd be nervous in a place like that regardless of what music was playing and she was just picking up that you were feeling nervous? Or am I just projecting how I'd feel at a place like that.
