I'm new around these parts, and decided to introduce myself on this forum because love and dating are the two things that have most alluded me in my life so far. I really have no dating skills and am not sure how to go about learning them. I have had some bad experiences in the past so I am a bit hesitant to get back into dating, but lately I have felt like I am missing out by not at least trying to pursue a relationship with the opposite sex. I have never understood jealousy and all of the drama I have seen my peers dealing with in their relationships, so maybe that's one thing that has held me back.
Anyway, hopefully I'll learn something, and I look forward to meeting some of you!

Hello, Beth! Thank you for joining us. A lot of people here feel the same way, myself included. Love and dating are very complicated things... really difficult for most anyone, and especially hard for anyone on the autistic spectrum.

Dating is pretty much the same as anything else in life. Try to keep your interactions balanced (not too much, or too little), and natural (not forced, or fake).

Jealousy happens to a lot of people, in various degrees. A lot of it stems from insecurity, a lack of respect from the other partner, and the simple fact that the couple just isn't right for each other.
