So...now that I have an actual life, have travelled, have an extra dimension to my life that wasn't there before, women are interested in me, for the first time in my life, without my having to initiate things.

And the heck of it is, I'm really overweight now. I never was before, but it turns out that fat + outgoing > fit + shy.

Personality matters.

Who'd have thought?

No question. I always see much less
physically attractive males having
an easier time. Personality is just
where many of us fall short though,
no matter what we do.

All I can think to ask is how old are you? (Generalization coming up, does not apply to all, just what seems to be the majority, so please take it as that) Women in their early twenties seem horribly superficial. Maybe where I'm located has a lot to do with that right now, or the crowds I tend to be around. Not sure.

Very true, probably should have mentioned that to be more fair (and to be perceived as less sexist).

If I was a cynical man I would say they give themselves to the alpha dog first then look for a reliable sap to raise his children.

Wait I am cynical.

Oh well.

Should I be the reliable sap or should I love and leave to make up for all those years when they ignored me and guys like me?

Decisions decisions...

Take what you can get,
and don't question why.

Yeah, I am tired of this game where they have all their fun with the alpha males then look for someone to support them as they grow old and ornery and sit around on the sofa eating bon bons. From now on I am a stealth casanova. Mr. Marriage Material leaps from the bedroom window, climbs down the trellis and disappears over the horizon leaving behind nought but soggy sheets and a green stain around the ring finger.

Didn't you say personality matters? Wouldn't this have an impact on that? :P

So you think women find
childlike innocence all
that appealing?

Bloody Hell.

I seriously doubt that.

fit = shy?
fat = out going?

No way jose. I'm more on the fit...sorta, I run daily to try and keep weight down. but I seriously doubt that in this day and age that being fat is gonna be the way to get you a future spouse.

then again I'm an optimist with a side of pessimism and a large helping of cynicism.
