They are all pretty bad... You have to know that going in.
Do not expect quick or easy results, expect to send 100's of messages with no replies.
It is possible to weed out the Inactive / People just on there for a laugh / Posers / Etc, but it is a lot effort and can make you feel quite small when you don't get noticed.
However! It is possible, I met my Girlfriend on POF (plenty of fish) and we both often joke how unlikely it was, but it did happen, we managed to find each other through the garbage.
It sucks for men and as I found out it sucks for girls as well. (well for decent girls actually looking for a relationship)
I was apparently the only guy that didn't immediately talk about sex or send her inappropriate images. She could obviously tell I had read her profile and engaged in proper decent conversation.
