What is the dating scene like for people 38- 45?

At this point I am just curious and not actually on the market. Anyone here about 40'ish and dating or trying to date? I haven't dated in almost 20 years, and my marriage is currently in danger of failing. I know that as a divorced man with children, I would be likely to date divorced women, given my age. I know previous marriages tend to produce baggage. Anyone here in early midlife care to share their experiences? Male or Female, I am curious as to what I would be getting into. Thanks!

There are always people out there looking, no matter what age you are. The hard part, is finding the right one that is looking. I have been kinda looking lately myself, but most of the ones I have been interested in, turned out to be in relationships, or have issues that I really don't want to get involved in.
