It happened. Next time, you should be more careful.
There are many people who don't want to admit they have a disorder. Especially when it's quite possible that they don't have a disorder, anyway.
Also: you, as a layman, can't really make a determination, anyway. I guess you could speculate, though.
I'm a Spectrumite--and I've been around Spectrumites--yet I still really can't determine if someone is Aspie. I can only speculate.
