This reminds me of the second person I ever had sex with, who knew my first girlfriend from college. I was also the second person she had ever had sex with. So the first time we had sex (it hadn't been formally planned although secretly wished for by both of us) she started calling out her ex-boyfriend's name. At the time, I basically ignored that (after all she was having sex with ME not HIM), and we didn't discuss it afterward.

I suppose it had something to do with her coming to terms with the fact that she was doomed to go through life having multiple sex partners. She had most likely expected at one point to marry him, and by having sex with me, was closing the door on whatever feeling of commitment she might have still held.

Still it was pretty weird if you think about it.

Never had sex so I don't know but it makes me cringe just thinking of someone else touching me, there's so much spit nd wet crap all over the place

Then you'll know when you're really attracted to someone, because you'll want to do all that despite the "spit and wet crap", which will look as ridiculous as not eating in case you get an infection.

Why? Because they love the person they are in bed with.

I'm not the type to say someone's name in bed---but it might happen some day.

I've heard that some girls will call their man "daddy" during the act... that just seems really creepy to me. :P I mean, they even pointed it out in a Durex commercial they ran here.

yeah that does seem off putting.

^ I find that so weird because it has ruined the word for me and what I call my dad.

I personally hate hearing my own name but will on occasion call my fiances name. I suppose it's like encoragement in a weird way

Do people really say names in bed? My partners and I only moan or use dirty language. I thought that was the norm!

I like it mostly because my partner pronounces it in a very cute way (we are from very different countries, so my name is very exotic for him :D and he associates it with latin/roman empire so it's cool)

Also, I don't like dirty language

When she started shouting my name in bed she said it was a great compliment. I thought it was a strange concept.

If it's sincere, this means that the person yelling the name is thinking of YOU, rather than some idealized figure.

I see nothing wrong with it.

As for "daddy," it's not incestuous; it's more symbolic. I don't find it troubling. I find it a compliment that a woman feels safe enough with her man for her to think of him as her symbolic "daddy."

There's a famous song, sung by the Staples Singers, which is about a woman in rapture who yells "daddy."
