Always feeling alone..

I am a married man, but even in that state, I honestly feel that I am ignored and not provided with any tangible acknowledgment of my presence. Do you guys ever feel alone or unwanted even amidst assurances to the contrary? I guess that is just me and my general perception that hopefully is incorrect that draws me to such a conclusion.

I don't feel especially "wanted" most of the time.

I don't feel people hate me--but I don't believe they really like me, either. They mostly think I'm a clown.

I feel like that sometimes. My girlfriend has depression & anxiety issues & I feel pushed away when she's having a bad episode/spell. She sometimes talks about how she misses the life she had with her parents which causes me to feel like I cant give her the life she wants/needs & makes me wonder if she'd be better off if she moved back in with them instead of being with me. She reassures me & makes me feel loved when she's not having an episode/spell thou.

I've felt alone my entire life, even with my family. I don't fear or dislike it though and I'm completely content in my own world. I'm not entirely sure if it has anything to do with my ASD or if I was just born this way.

I understand. I sometimes think that everyone has occasionally experienced a phase of uniform loneliness. Perhaps, however, fewer people have the audacity to communicate to others such a frame of mind.
