Today, when I listened my Spotify list, there was a song which lyrics hits me.
This song describes quite well how I sometimes feel with my man. I think I'm not the only NT thinking this way.
I hope this explain even a little how NT might see and feel when dating with someone who has Asperger's. It can be very confusing..

Should I Stay Or Should I Go?

Darling you got to let me know
Should I stay or should I go?
If you say that you are mine
I'll be here 'til the end of time
So you got to let me know
Should I stay or should I go?

It's always tease, tease, tease
You're happy when I'm on my knees
One day it's fine and next it's black
So if you want me off your back
Well, come on and let me know
Should I stay or should I go?

Should I stay or should I go now?
Should I stay or should I go now?
If I go, there will be trouble
And if I stay it will be double
So come on and let me know

This indecision's bugging me (esta indecision me molesta)
If you don't want me, set me free (si no me quieres, librame)
Exactly whom I'm supposed to be (digame que tengo ser)
Don't you know which clothes even fit me? (no sabes que ropas me queda)
Come on and let me know (me tienes que decir)
Should I cool it or should I blow? (me debo ir o quedarme

Give less emotional weight to random Spotify songs.

You are right, this was "wrong place" for that kind of thing. I didn't think...

I don't think being on the spectrum has much to do with it. I've known enough people that identify with that song, that I think most people get the same confusion at some point in their life.

Good taste, by the way. I used to love getting up and strutting my stuff to the Clash, back when my bones weren't quite so creaky!

Since when is there anything wrong with people relating to a song or feel that it describes something going on in their life. That said I certainly don't think my boyfriend feels that way dating me and I have aspergers....so I'd be willing to bet its not the aspergers alone causing this confusion the OP feels.
