Is there any way to verify that a person on Tinder is over 18? I just got a match, but I don't want to be in trouble. She says she's 25.

Well I guess you could ask the person when you meet. Meet at a bar that cards at the door if you don't feel comfortable asking...

But why would you suspect someone would lie about that?

You can try to snoop around and see if you find her facebook profil or something like that.
What you MUST NOT do is tell her that you snooped around or send her a friendship/contact request before she tells you how she's called on FB, what Skype name she has on Skype, etc. She'd think that you're a creep.
At least this is how I'd do it, but wait for more input from more people.

Funny thing is, a lot of them will just come right out and say it. "I'm 16, not 20. No hate, k fam? xoxoxoxoxo!" I've never been able to figure out why then even bother. That's basically like saying, "I'm looking for someone who doesn't mind going to jail for pedophilia."

you won't get in trouble for going on a date with a minor (well, perhaps with her father, but not any form of legal trouble).
you can indeed ask her then and there for her real age or do what alex suggested.

Younger girls lie about their age all the time... I'd ask for her ID. Not worth the risk of being a sex offender the rest of your life.

Invite her somewhere where she would require to be of consenting age.
Failing that snoop the FB profile.

What makes you suspect her of being under 18 in the first place? I mean chances are if she were under 18, she would probably list her age at 18 because that's the minimum age to get in. She woudn't say she were 25.

If I were a 19 year old kid trying to sneak into a bar, I would tell somebody i'm 21 because that's the bare minimum age to get in. I woudn't tell someone i'm 25 or 26 if you know what i'm saying.

But i'm 22 so there's no need to lie anyways.
