I just broke up with my girlfriend because I realized I didn't feel much emotion toward her. This was my first relationship, and it lasted about 5 months. My question is: are relationships for me? There were few moments when I felt genuine emotion in this relationship, and I felt that it largely wasn't fulfilling for me beyond the physical aspect. Maybe it was just the person, but this relationship left me feeling disillusioned with my pursuit of love as an aspie.

It depends. Since this was your first and only relationship, you should try again with other people. Maybe you will connect better with someone else. I know it is much easier for me to connect with someone through the internet than in person. I haven't had a real life relationship but I know I can feel affection and emotions towards someone online if I think the person is someone suitable. I am still trying to form a real life relationship with someone attractive and intelligent and understanding.
