I've honestly got to the point where i don't see the point trying anymore. No one ever likes me back.

It just feels like I'm banging my head against a brick wall.

I'm mind of just expecting this to go wrong.

What if this is the one guy who will like you back?

Anyway, banging your head against a brick wall burns calories, I'm told, so it's not a total loss.

No kraftie. You're running ahead here. I've only just met this new group of people and I'm finding my feet. I've talked to him a little bit and caught his eye across the room. That's it.

I've been invited to a barn dance,so may see him there.

Oi! If you want a debate on alpha males I'll start a new thread. Stop it on this thread.

Sometimes you just have to take a risk hurtloom. There is not perfect way of doing it, so whatever way you would like to get it done. You only live once.

Also women who ask are cool in my book. Men do appreciate it.

Only thing I would say is don't make too many assumptions or plan too far ahead. Just cross this hurdle first and see how it goes.

I stopped dating anybody about 17 years ago. My dates/partners always went bust between three days and three years. Talk about Groundhog Day! I can't say what others should do, but when 10 different partners come and go in as many years, you learn from it. As The King of the Hill's Bill Dauterive once said about celibacy: "Yeah, the first four or five years are the worst." Hehe.

Seriously, some people do better on their own, despite the lonliness.

By the way, your signature is interesting in quoting my former employer. He always had an arm's length relationship with Hollywood.

So there's no need to be that aggressive.

I'm not being aggressive I'm nipping this in the bud before other people latch onto one phrase and go too off topic.

I feel the same way. I know interest is returned, but I also know from experience that people get bored after a month or two.

Sometimes it's like a self-fufilling prophecy where because you think something is going to go wrong you ultimately cause it to go wrong (unintentionally).

I think you really have to ask yourself what have you got to lose?

Instead of thinking ahead and stressing yourself just try to be more laid back maybe and if something happens it will, if it doesn't it doesn't. That way you aren't driving yourself crazy.
