Girlfriend-related anxiety

So, about a two months ago, I started dating this girl who occasionally takes a few hours to reply to texts (like right now).. and every time that happens I start getting paranoid that she doesn't like me anymore. I'm a 25-year-old male Aspie, and she's my first girlfriend. I know I'm being stupid when I do this, but has anyone else had trouble with this?

I had problems like that with both my exes cuz of my anxiety & OCD. I don't have those problems in my current relationship because I'm on anxiety & OCD medication. I think it should get easier as the relationship progresses but if it doesn't(like it didn't for me) then it's time to talk to a psych/doc about it especially if you have anxiety &/or OCD problems with other things. Trying to distract yourself may help too.

The great thing about people not liking you anymore, is you usually eventually get direct confirmation of this. Anyway insecurity is a big turn off, and will get people not liking you fast. So I suggest you play it cool.
