I have felt sad when I have recently had a failed relationship - seeing other couples together is like a reminder of what I lost that I just don't need when I'm already feeling that low.

Other than that, I don't really mind as long as they're not behaving indecently in public or anything.
I do sometimes get frustrated when you are single and people you know who are in couples act like they pity you.

Only if it's someone I like. And then I don't feel jealous, just sad.
If it's just a random couple though then it doesn't bother me. Unless they're kissing. Then it makes me want to vomit.

Jealous, and envious. Not sad though -
not unless it's someone I love.

Sometimes I feel sad. If they're sucking each other's faces off in the middle of the street, though, I just want to scream "GET A ROOM!" at them.

I used to get envious, sometimes I still get jealous, but usually I just get a bit saddened.

None of the above...

my feelings depend on the couple. If it is a couple completely groping each other in public, I'll want to vomit...There are some things that should only be done in private

If it is an elderly couple holding hands, or one with the arm around the other...I think it's so sweet...no jealousy at all, I just hope I have that some day :)

hmm. me. eh. I could care less. however as whoever said, if its some young couple making out in public, then I want to yell, "get a room!" and I actually did, during first semester. as a joke to a couple who I'm good friends, and now just counting off the days til I find their engaged so I can do their photography.

What's the difference between jealous and envious?

Jealous implies that you feel that you DO
possess them.

And envious just means that you want to?
Jealousy is more of an active envy them?

Well... seeing as I'm in an LDR, I get jealous, because they see each other (almost) every day, probably. I see my girlfriend nothing like that much, and probably won't again till after the GCSEs.

But yer, as people have said, if they're sucking each others faces off/groping each other/trying to be as noticable as possible, I get really annoyed.
