Of course, I'm not talking about actually "going back" to high school. But I really miss being in the company of male and female peers. I had no relationships in high school, but there were a few girls in my class who I thought were fine, but they were already in relationships. They all moved on, while I'm still struggling. At least I can go back to school in the Fall so hopefully I'll enjoy my peer company. Only one of my peers from that school wanted to maintain contact as far as I can tell.
A bit of a ramble: I'm going to be part of a program for people with disabilities, but I'll still be in regular classes with NT peers. I admit that being around peers who had special needs actually made me feel discomfort. And at least I have the Asperger's social group in the meantime, where my peers in there are on a similar functioning level of Asperger's or autism that I am.
