I am conducting research how people with autism describe themselves on online dating sites. If you are someone who’s over the age of 18 years old, male and consider yourself to have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) then you are invited to take part in this research study. The findings from this study will help to create a resource that will help guide people with autism how to write and optimise their online dating profiles. For the full study please click on this link: https://bathpsychology.eu.qualtrics.com ... cjGyCTAxJb.
The aim of this study is to determine how people who self-identify as autistic describe themselves within their online dating profiles. Specifically looking at the use of adjectives used in those profiles. The data collected from this research will be compiled into a list of the most common adjectives used within dating profiles. Data will be securely stored and all information will be kept anonymous. The findings from this study will then be used to compare what adjectives potential partners will find attractive which will then help to create a resource aimed at people with autism. This resource will aim to provide information on how to write and optimise an online dating profile through changing the language used within their current profiles.
If you currently have an online dating profile, please copy and paste your unique description in the comments below.
If you currently do not use online dating, please write as if you were creating an online dating profile for yourself. You may describe your character, talk about what you enjoy or explain what you would want in a partner.
