Anybody ever have this happen before?

http://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/2017/09/28/submarining-is-latest-dating-woe-to-baffle-romantics.html

An old gf does this to me online all the time, and after we'd broken up/got back together/broke up again she'd still come looking for me if I ever stopped talking to her. It makes me laugh when she does it now, but drove me batstuff CRAZY back in the day. Ever have this happen? Someone "ghosts" you, only to reemerge several weeks later before disappearing again?

i've been experiencing that on-off at least since 2013.

i'm the one who keeps coming back though. we talk like nothing happened and we're old friends, set something up, i get ghosted and i feel awful, up until i don't anymore and i miss her enough to get in touch once more and away we go again.

There are a lot of sh***y people. quite simple. Ghosting sounds better. At least you no longer have to deal with those morons, it's best if they do disappear.

I agree. The girl that did that to me, I just quit answering the phone, emails, messages, whatever. Let it drive HER crazy for a change.

There was a guy I dated before I met my boyfriend. He ended up ghosting me, I tried to contact him a few times before giving up on it. Then when things got serious with my boyfriend and I updated my status to facebook to reflect that, then he contacted me asking about my relationship like he was hoping I'd express some unhappiness with it so he could get another chance. So yeah that pissed me off and I cut off contact...so hopefully there will be no hearing from him again.

Aspies tend to be magnets for those types of people...
