One of my friends has got engaged too a girl who he really really likes.

How could he maintain a relationship with a girl who he is crazy about?

By that i mean he must get butterflies in his stomach whenever he is around her surely?

it usually doesn't last long past the living-together stage.

Oh, you can have butterflies for much longer. Ive known my husband for 32 years and I quite often feel butterflies when I look at him.
