I was in a language class (not highschool).
My teacher was hot. So eventually I asked for her, number.
She was keen but said she would have to wait, as she would have to change to a different teacher.
One day we were practicing how to ask questions about family;
Do you have a brother? How many?
Do you have a boyfriend, girlfriend?
etc
I practiced asking the questions.
One girl in the class I asked the questions too, and one of the many questions was Do you have a boyfriend?
Next class the teacher was acting very strange talking about people having affairs etc.
Then she went away for a month on some trip.
She no longer replied to my text messages.
In one class when she returned, she described the girl that I had talked to as a lesbian as an example.

Not really sure, felt some kind of stuff was going on.
But oh well, if she was no longer interested I didn't mind. I was there to learn the language afterall.
Shortly after the girl I talked to left (possibly before the end of the course).
Then the teacher got a boyfriend. She would often talk about him in class.

One time at a social night, she came up to our table, she brought the boyfriend. I introduced myself and he said "Is that him." she confirmed, then they both walked off.
I attended the second term. At the end of the second term, some others in the class asked about her boyfriend. She said he was no longer in the picture and he was an A**hole.

Seems like I dodged a bullet.

Why were you trying to get intimately involved with your teacher in the first place?

Generally teacher-student relationships of that nature are seen as a bad thing even if its education beyond HS. That said she doesn't sound like a very good teacher with bringing all her personal life concerning her boyfriend and all that into the classroom. And, she probably should have just told you it was inappropriate for you to get her personal phone number.

She was very keen.
Yeah, in hindsight it was a bit of a bad situation.
Next time, I would ask for the number near the end of the course.
So if the dating did not work out I could choose to not return.

When I was in junior high and high school, I had crushes on a few teachers.

When I was in college, I had less intense crushes on some professors.

It's very common for boys/men to have crushes on their instructors. Not a rare thing, really.

You're lucky. Most of my teachers were elderly women.
