What are some gift ideas for my girlfriend. I was going to buy her a mug but she says we already have enough cups. I've already bought her flowers. I'm looking for something in the price range between the low tens and the low hundreds.

If you're totally clueless about what she needs/wants:
A gift card (from her favorite shopping center) in a cute envelope or box - and some flowers.

flower shaped mugs, naturally.

take her somewhere she's always wanted to go. i recently took a girl on an all day trip to several towns in the county that she liked, and to visit some places of interest that she had been reading about and we had a wonderful time. we had pretzels, i showed her a place with a nice view of the lake and i listened to her talk about her ancestry and the importance of "pure blooded races".

if you're musically inclined i would wager that she'd appreciate you writing her a song. is there a particular occasion or just because?

something handmade is best, i think. failing that, gift card, prepaid card.

What kinds of things does she like?

Some women really like a spa day type of gift - getting her nails and hair done. You could get her a gift certificate to a day spa and then take her out to dinner that evening.

A gift card always works.

If you know her size and style, a windbreaker-type jacket wouldn’t be bad for the rainy Aussie winters.

I was thinking of going to the Asian grocery store and getting her those Senbi cookies that she ate throughout her childhood. She gets really nostalgic about them.

You should probably get her something else, too.

Maybe a gift card?

Gift cards seem so impersonal  I want to get her an actual item.

just go for the cookies and take her somewhere, if nothing else. gifts don't need to be things, they can be experiences too.

In my opinion it's the only gift that makes sense..... it lets the other person to get what they really want.

My favourite presents are always books. But I am hoping for a telescope for my next birthday.

I would not like a gift card. I hate shopping so that would doubly offensive to me as the person would not have really thought they could choose by themselves and also would put me in the unfortunate position of having to shop.

Does she wear jewellery? If so, I would go for a nice silver bracelet or something similar. I am sure the shop assistant will love to help you find something that fits what you want to spend and her style.

In that case why not give her cash?

This is a good idea, but for that extra personal touch; bake them for her.
